ARITA at Zürich Art Weekend 2026

As part of the 2026 Zürich Art Weekend, ARITA hosted a panel discussion on the legal structures underlying artistic practices, examining both their challenges and their opportunities.
The event took place on Saturday, 13 June, at the Musée Visionnaire in Zurich and was open to the public free of charge.
Moderated by Noémie Weill, the panel brought together Alexandra Bachzetsis, a Zurich-based choreographer and visual artist whose work explores the body at the intersection of popular culture and the "high arts"; Julie Marmet, a Geneva curator and cultural producer engaged in advocacy on the administrative status and remuneration of artists, and founder of the production office ARROI; and Vanessa Witschi, a certified tax expert at NKF who advises artists and collectors and co-authored the Swiss commentary on the taxation of artists and sportsmen under the OECD model tax treaty.
The discussion was followed by an apéro, which offered members and guests the opportunity to continue the exchange informally

On Halloween, the association Rights in the Arts goes to Kulturfolger ! On Thursday 30th October 2025, we will visit together the exhibition "Pugliodrome" at Kulturfolger and featuring 17 artists who took part in a residency at Fondazione Lac O Le Mon in Puglia in summer.

At the Bar: Talks on Artists' Rights - 5th Anniversary Edition, Friday 13 June 2025 at 6 p.m.
During the upcoming Zurich Art Weekend, ARITA is organizing its fifth series of talks on art and law at Stall6 Bar at Gessnerallee. Our anniversary edition features artists Shirana Shahbazi and Angelos Merges in conversation with lawyer Annatina Menn on the topic of work-life balance as an artist. The talk is followed by an open bar in the presence of the speakers and ARITA members for casual discussions on artists' rights.

At the Bar: Talks on Artists' Rights
During the upcoming Zurich Art Weekend, ARITA is organizing its fourth series of talks on art and law at ACRUSH. This year, artist Erika Marthins and lawyer Julia Wismer will discuss the challenges of AI in artistic creations. Artist Fabian Marti and lawyer Andreas Ritter will discuss the artist-gallery relationship and new role models of collaborations. Artist Nadia Sawas and lawyer Rinon Memeti will discuss art sales as an emerging artist.
